Tree reports for planning applications
Tree surveys for planning applications are required where trees are within influencing distance of the development proposals. This is not solely where direct conflicts with the footprint exists, but also where trees that could be affected by construction activities. This can also include off-site trees whose roots extend onto your property or site. When building near trees, Local Authorities request a professional tree survey to British Standard 5837: (2012). This is a standardised assessment of tree constraints on your building plot, and will include a programme of protection to ensure the trees are not adversely affected by the build.
